What would you and your organization do without your volunteers?
Here at Flagler Volunteer Services, we know how important volunteerism is in our community. Most of the places that utilize volunteers would not be sustainable without volunteer help. It is our pleasure each year to recognize volunteers that do outstanding work and have huge impacts on local organizations and on the community at large. This year we will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Tuesday, April 29, 2019 at the Palm Coast Community Center.
Flagler Volunteer Services is currently accepting nomination forms for “Volunteer of the Year”, “Volunteer Team of the Year”, and the “Bryan Cooper Excellence in Volunteer Leadership” awards. Nominations are due by the close of business on Friday, April 12th.
April is National Volunteer Month. This month is dedicated to honoring all of the volunteers in our communities as well as encouraging volunteerism throughout the month. Volunteers come in all shapes and sizes. They pick a cause and make a difference in someone’s life. Sometimes the difference is a drop in the bucket. Other times it creates a tidal wave of change.
Flagler Volunteer Services is excited to celebrate National Volunteer Month by recognizing the volunteer efforts in Flagler County at our Volunteer Recognition Breakfast on April 30th at the Palm Coast Community Center. YOU MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND THE BREAKFAST!!! Register by calling (386) 597-2950. Volunteers that are registered with Flagler Volunteer Services are free to attend. There is a $10 charge for all others.
Please help us by nominating the volunteers that make a difference to your organization for one of the following awards:
Volunteer of the Year – honor a volunteer whose dedicated service has had a significant impact on the agency that they serve and/or the community at large.
Volunteer Team of the Year – honor a volunteer team (two or more volunteers that serve on a common focus area) whose dedicated service has had a significant impact on the agency that they serve and/or the community at large.
Bryan Cooper Excellence in Volunteer Leadership – honor a volunteer leader whose dedicated leadership has led to significant achievements through volunteer activities within Flagler County.
Presidential Service Awards will also be given to volunteers who have served more than 500 hours during 2018. These awards will be distributed in front of local elective officials during County and City Commission/Council Meetings and at the FC School Board meeting. Please contact our office if you have volunteers who qualify for this award.
